DIVER BY DESIGN

I became interested in technical diving as I was looking for something more challenging in my diver education. After some essentials training, I started sidemount training and worked up to making trimix and cave dives in multi stage sidemount technical configuration.
I have a science and engineering background, so the equipment and dive theory for technical diving really appealed to me. As a sidemount focused instructor, I can see what configuration changes might be needed and how they will impact the diver.
I have been sharing my knowledge with others throughout my professional career and as a dive instructor, I have the chance to combine my passion for teaching with my love of diving.
I am based in Gozo and conduct training including Sidemount Essentials, deep diving & technical courses in Malta and Gozo.
I love to see students immerse themselves in the training and to watch them make improvements on every dive. I get genuine pleasure when helping a student master a difficult skill or a complex part of dive theory.
My favourite dives are anything where I am happy with my performance and when the team has executed the dive as planned.
I am excited by the preparation and execution of cave and advanced wreck diving. Cave diving in Mexico is a firm favourite as are the shipwrecks around Gozo and Malta.
